Tall Ships Youth Trust and Oil Spill Response Limited Join Forces to Empower Young People to Change Their Lives at Sea
Tall Ships Youth Trust (TSYT) is delighted to announce our collaboration with Oil Spill Response Limited (OSRL), an international cooperative which exists to respond to oil spills, by providing preparedness, response and intervention services.
This exciting collaboration will see OSRL sponsor a life-changing voyage this year, providing our young people with a unique opportunity to learn from this industry expert on areas including how to apply good practice and continuous innovation to oil spill response, and mitigating the impact on communities and the environment.
OSRL employees will join the voyage to share their expertise and experiences in environmental protection and innovation. These personal insights will introduce our crew members to the critical work being done to protect our oceans, along with some exciting career opportunities available in the Blue Economy.
In addition to these inspiring discussions, the voyage will feature hands-on educational activities designed by OSRL, directly connected to the sustainability practices we champion on board. This will ensure our young people gain a deeper understanding of the role we all play in safeguarding our oceans.
OSRL staff will also volunteer their time to support TSYT during maintenance days on our Challenger vessels, contributing directly to the work that keeps our fleet operational and running effectively.
