A Day Like No Other!
Whether you’re a complete novice looking for a unique weekend adventure, or a keen sailor eager to experience the thrill of a 72ft Challenger yacht, our day sails truly offer something for everyone.
You’ll set sail onboard Challenger 5, the most recent addition to our TSYT Challenger fleet. With her proud Welsh heritage and the iconic Welsh dragon displayed across her transom, she’s a yacht we’re incredibly excited to welcome you aboard.
Following a short safety briefing, we’ll head out into the Cardiff Bay/Bristol Channel and quickly get you involved in learning how to handle these iconic yachts. You’ll have the opportunity to have a go at sail handling, ropework, tacking and helming.
Of course, if you prefer to sit back and let our expert crew take care of the sailing while you enjoy the sea air, that’s OK too!
Whatever you decide, we want you to know that your participation in this event supports our youth development voyages, which offer a catalyst for change in the lives of young people aged 12 to 25.
Over the course of the day, our expert sailing staff will share the history of our Challenger yachts – which have all raced around the world twice as part of the BT Global Challenge in the early 2000s.
Meals on board are included for the day.
