Voyage highlights
Embark on a thrilling weekend sailing adventure with our two-boat racing weekend challenge. Starting and ending in Portsmouth, this two-night voyage offers an exciting opportunity for learning the ropes of racing in the Solent.
Throughout the weekend, you’ll participate in initial training on Friday afternoon/evening before heading over to Cowes. Saturday will bring more training and followed by match racing in the Solent. Heading back into Cowes, the participants will celebrate with a prize-giving ceremony and an evening in the town. On Sunday, you’ll have the chance to explore the Solent further before returning to Gunwharf Quays.
Our Challenger 72ft ocean-going steel yachts, built to withstand the harsh conditions, will provide a memorable and exhilarating experience on the water.
Join a diverse crew of like-minded individuals aged 18 to 80, coming together to navigate the challenges of racing and training in one of the UK’s most iconic sailing grounds.
Also, not only will you enjoy the thrill of the open water, but you’ll also be supporting our charity’s vital youth development work with young people aged 12-25.
Camaraderie and Networking. Sailing & passage planning skills.
You will work with your crew in two watches to run the vessel, learning the key skills to take an active and responsible part of the crew during the weekend. This is a great way to build your skills and experience over a weekend away onboard our iconic 72ft Challengers.
And if all this isn’t enough… We want you to know, that our adult sailing experiences give you an exhilarating journey that directly enables more young people to benefit from our transformational youth development programme.
The Skipper will determine the final plans depending on weather and other variables.
If you share our values and are keen to do more, you may be able to support our vital work further by joining the TSYT Volunteer Crew.
Your Skipper can recommend you for our volunteer training programme, you can speak to the skipper when you arrive if you’d like to pursue this as well.
All meals on board are included.
