Day 1
6th October
Hello from Mike. Today I got up and got ready a nice adventure sailing. I waited for the minibus; I waited a whole 10 minutes. The meeting point was a kebab shop. The drive was calm… some of it. I had to sit next to William, who talks a lot, he asked every question humanly possible.
When we arrived at the port, we had to walk around a lot to find the gate to get to the boat. Simeon got us lost a lot. When we got to the gate, we were all excited to get on the boat and go do some sailing and do work on the boat. In the three hours before we left the port, we had some briefings and prepare the big trip.
When we left the port, I was excited, it’s the first time I’ve been on a boat for 5 days, visiting places. On the way to Isle of Wight we saw many big ships and battle ships. They made big waves and made us rock a lot. We also saw a sunset in front of us and the moon behind us, it appeared out of nowhere.
When we got to the port, we had nice food and I had a nice shower, it was warm. And yeah. I’m going to stand outside for a bit and then come and play uno, then time for sleep.
Hank you for your attention. Goodbye. Mike
Day 3
8th October
Yesterday I woke up got dressed and the did the man overboard drill with some people as an example and it was quite enjoyable.
Later on in the day, we prepared the boat and left Lymington heading for Poole. Around 20 minutes after we had left the docks, we had a problem with the boat’s engine.
Because of this a few people a few people went to check on it. Since the engine was heating up, we decided to put the anchor down in the middle of the water whilst we tried to figure out the problem.
A few hours later when we figured out what was wrong, we decided to try and move again. Once we started moving, the engine began malfunctioning again and we stopped once again to try and fix it.
Since we couldn’t find the problem this time, we decided to call Monkey (Mike) to try and help us get it fixed.
After a few hours of them looking, we eventually found out what the problem was and fixed the engine!
