Whether you’re aiming for your Day Skipper qualification or simply seeking a sailing adventure, our mile builder weekends along the South Coast are an unbeatable opportunity to grow.
Plus, you’ll be supporting transformative youth development work through our charity, impacting young lives while you chase your sailing dreams.
You will work with your crew in two watches to run the vessel, taking responsibility for deck and domestic duties, under the supervision of your skipper, mate and experienced volunteer watch leaders.
Depending on weather and other variables, the skipper will determine the final route, and you can expect to log between 200-250 nautical miles.
If you share our values and are keen to do more, you may be able to support our vital work further by joining the TSYT Volunteer Crew.
Your Skipper can recommend you for our Watch Leader training programme if they feel you have the skills and attributes that we’re looking for.
All meals on board are included.

Bursaries Available: If you’re aged 25 or under and have faced, or are facing, personal challenges (this could be financial constraints, you have a learning disability, are a young carer or are not currently in education) we have funding available to support you. Please apply to see if you qualify.
