Whilst sitting at home dreaming of getting back afloat, why not turn your mind to this nautical quiz? This has proved popular & engaging over the years with different themes.
Here’s how it works:
Each clue shows the first letters of a well-known title, first line, saying or quotation. The subject is all things NAUTICAL & TO DO WITH THE SEA & BOATS and within the following 50 clues, the underlined/emboldened letter refers to the word which is to do with the sea beginning with that letter (i.e. sea, ship, boat, water, tide, sailor, deck, etc.) e.g. The O & the P C W T S, I A B P-G B = The owl and the pussy cat went to sea in a beautiful pea-green boat
Tall ships are the UK’s oldest and largest sail training charity, but becoming a sailor is not the only outcome. They are a youth development charity that helps young people 12-25 redefine their horizons through adventure learning at sea.
The quiz is provided free to download but any donations are very welcome.
