Global M2M SIM, who sell sim cards which connect devices such as GPS trackers, weather stations, CCTV systems, and much more, will fundraise for the Trust including at events and staff fundraising activities.

Funds raised through the partnership will help the Trust to weather the storm of the unprecedented economic shock brought by the Covid-19 pandemic, to ensure they are still here to carry out their vital youth work in the months and years ahead.

At a time when young people are facing extraordinary levels of youth unemployment, they are feeling excluded and mental health issues are on the rise, the need for the Trust is greater than ever.

Tall Ships brings together crews of different social backgrounds and nationalities to promote understanding and friendship onboard. Beyond the confines of traditional classrooms and 4G signal, these young people gain a sense of self-belief that can only be born through adventure – a sense of exploration that Global M2M SIM MD, Ed Neal believes is a vital part of his own life and wants to help share with as many people as possible.

Global M2M SIM sell SIM cards for any type of machine that needs to be connected to the “outside world” from phones to trackers, alarms and remote monitoring systems. Their SIMs see all networks which increases reliability and reduces “not spots”.

Their Managing Director, Ed Neal, said: “As a keen and passionate yachtsman and seafarer I know the empowerment that being on the water working as a team and problem solving can bring to a person. The sea can be a challenging and at times unforgiving place.  It teaches respect for the elements and also trust of your fellow crew members.  Completing a simple task such as tying a new knot for the first time or crossing an ocean can bring a huge sense of accomplishment, pride and satisfaction.

Please help the Tall Ships Youth Trust continue their fantastic work giving young people the opportunity to have adventure, learn new skills, make life long friendships and be more balanced individuals.”

Talking about the fundraising partnership, Tall Ships Fundraising and Marketing Director, James Hudson, said:

I am delighted to work with Global M2M SIM. Their fundraising efforts will make a difference to the young people in our society who need it the most. I am really looking forward to working with Ed and the team in the months ahead
