Our four 72ft Challenger yachts were built in 2000.
They’re famous for having raced twice round the world, as part of the Global Challenge races in 2000/2001 and again in 2004/2005.
The race was unique in that it took the westabout route round the world against prevailing winds and currents – often referred to as the ‘wrong way’ route.
This 55ft vessel was built and gifted by Bolton School pupils in 2014.
At the end of 2024, we retired the Ketch from our programme. Our long-term plan is to expand our Challenger fleet to increase the number of young people we can support and improve the quality of our voyage experiences.
