Today we arrived at 10:00 to be welcomed by Theo (AWL), the watch leaders, mate and skipper. We made ourselves comfortable before hoisting the sails. Next, we had lunch which was a buffet of finger foods such as wraps and cold meats. Then we left Portsmouth harbour and set sail to Yarmouth, practicing tacks, hoists and drops along the way. In the middle of a tack we noticed that a sheet was rigged wrongly. This meant that we had to re-rig the boat on the water. During the journey we sailed through heavy fog and rain. Afterwards we moored up to Hayling station in Yarmouth marina. We cooked a dinner of Chilli con carne which was delicious.
