Please tell us a bit about yourself
I was born in Romania, and moved to the UK in 2017. Since I was a kid I wanted to work in the tourism industry so, I did my BSc in Economy of Domestic and International Tourism and my MA in Tourism and Business Administration.
My first job was during my work experience in US when I worked as an Assistant Manager for a travel agent for a small Romanian tour-operator followed by three crazy years as a B2B Account Manager for BlueAir and finally here.
In my free time I love to cook and travel around and discover new places (my favourites so far are the New Forest and The Three Cups in Stockbridge).
Please tell us a bit about your role at Tall Ships Youth Trust
I have recently stepped into the new adventurous role of Growth and Retention Executive, after four years of enjoyment in the Reservations Team.
My aim is to increase our reach and engage with different groups around the country to make sure that as many young people as possible can benefit from our life-changing voyages.
I have the privilege of meeting and interacting with exciting people everyday and I feel lucky to be part of such a great community.
What has been your most memorable moment at Tall Ships Youth Trust?
Every ‘Thank you’ letter we receive is memorable.
What is one thing you think people should know about Tall Ships Youth Trust?
That the voyages are not just about relaxing moments and a little bit of work (as I thought) but are also about developing young people and adults – communication, friendship, leadership and teamwork skills, and helping them regain their self-confidence and self-esteem.
They are actually changing people’s lives.
Please describe your job in three words
