An introduction to sailing for the family

This is the perfect introduction to sailing for families. Join us on our 62ft Catamaran for a sail in the Solent and have a weekend to remember!

Whether you want to take over the whole boat (up to 8 people) or join another family and book just one of the four cabins (sleeps 2), this is a great mini adventure for all ages to enjoy together.*

Typical family weekend voyage

Friday PM

• Arrive on board Catamaran
• Meet Crew and get to know other families on board
• Safety briefing
• Free to explore ashore
• Sleep on board

Saturday

• Help to cook breakfast on board
• Help to prepare the yacht for sea
• Sail around the Solent – learn to hoist and set the sails and steer the vessel
• Anchor for lunch
• More sailing
• Berth in Cowes
• Help to clean and tidy the vessel
• Dinner onboard and free to explore ashore
• Sleep on board

Sunday

• Early breakfast on board
• Help prepare the yacht for sea
• Sail around the Solent – practise skills learnt day before
• Lunch on board
• Berth in Portsmouth

* These voyages are designed to give parents and their young children the opportunity to sail together. We recommend that older families (where everyone is over 18 years old) should join a regular adult voyage.
