Day and Taster Information
Beginner Sailing
Want to try sailing but don’t want to commit to a long voyage? Then these are the voyages for you! Ranging from 1 day to 4 nights, these trips will give you a good insight into life at sea and allow you to try some of the fundamental aspects of sailing.
Learn to Sail
As with most of our voyages, you do not need any sailing experience to join one of these trips. Learning how to sail is great fun and you can be confident that our experienced Crew will show you everything you need to know in a safe and friendly manner.
Have a go
Depending on the length of the voyage, you will be able to try some of the following:
- Helm (steer) the vessel
- Set the sails
- Haul the ropes
- Climb the masts (if on the Tall Ship.)
- Keep watch
“I took part in the day sail on Stavros and had an amazing experience on a magnificent ship. Two days later and I’m still on a high! The crew were brilliantly helpful. I am seriously considering applying for a longer voyage next year. A huge thank you for a wonderful day.”
Gareth, Isle of Wight
