Tall Ships Adventures has a few remaining places for you to join the Girlguiding crew on board one of our 72ft Challenger Yachts for the experience of a lifetime! You will sail around the famous Fastnet Rock off the south west tip of Ireland on Tall Ships Adventures very own Fastnet Challenge 2015.

The Challenge includes a training weekend and three qualifying races before the actual Fastnet Challenge which takes place on the 14-22 August 2015. You will depart from Portsmouth, heading along South Coast before sailing out past the Scilly Isles into the Irish Sea.

You will get to experience one of the greatest yacht races as you sail around the famous Fastnet Rock before finishing the challenge with a sprint back to Portsmouth against the clock.

There is a special price of £3,495 and the voyage package includes a training weekend, three qualifying races, team jacket and the race itself. Travel insurance is included as are all meals and drinks on board. This voyage is available to 18-65 year olds, including leaders.

The Challenger fleet joined the Tall Ships Youth Trust in 2008 and 2009 from The Challenge Business where they took part in the BT Global Challenge and the Global Challenge. Sailing around the world twice ‘the wrong way’, the event claimed the motto “The World’s Toughest Yacht Race”.

The fleet of four is now used by the Tall Ships Youth Trust for ‘The Ultimate Sail Training Experience’. Although focused on young people between the ages of 12-25, the Trust also offers exciting adult voyages for anyone up to the age of 80 visiting a range of destinations including the UK and the Caribbean Leeward and Windward Islands.
