Alison Coates, Senior Manager HSBC Global Education and UK Community Investment said:

“We are delighted to have supported the Tall Ships Youth Trust for 15 years, allowing more than 700 young people to take part in HSBC supported voyages. The Voyage of Achievement not only provides young people with a chance to improve their self-confidence, develop team working skills and meet new people: for some it is a truly life-changing experience. Our support of the Trust is part of our wider support of educational programmes, reaching over 50,000 young people annually in the UK – helping them to fulfil their potential by providing access to education, developing life-skills and entrepreneurship, and promoting international and cultural understanding.

“It is important that our employees are able to get involved with the programmes we support, and we are so pleased that the Trust’s voyages allow HSBC employees to support young people through mentoring and coaching, while improving their own leadership skills.”

Tim Law, Marketing and Operations Director of the Tall Ships Youth Trust said:

“The support of HSBC over the past 15 years has been extraordinary and is hugely appreciated by the Trust and indeed, the hundreds of young people that have been able to go on board the Voyage of Achievement for an experience of a lifetime.”
