• Crew meal and prize giving in St Malo
• Build sailing knowledge, make friends and have fun!

Have a pre-uni adventure and explore the historic port of St Malo on this 5 night voyage.
This is the perfect opportunity for budding sailors to experience what it is like to race one of our iconic Challenger yachts.

Day 1 will include a meet and greet and a safety briefing before heading out into the Solent. You will be put into watch systems to begin to learn basic sailing techniques and experience man over board practice.
You will learn about race tactics such as using the tide, sail trimming and race helming before starting the race to St Malo against an identical Challenger yacht.
You will then spend the night in St Malo where you will feel like you have stepped back in time walking the cobble stoned streets and discovering the history of the notorious St Malo pirates. Whilst in St Malo, you will have a crew meal and prize giving ceremony before cruising back across the Channel to Portsmouth.

You will build your sailing knowledge whilst having fun and making friends. You will be involved with all aspects of sailing the yacht from looking after the boat to cooking and cleaning.
There is a possibility you could be recommended to the Trust by the Skipper to come back and volunteer as a Watch Assistant or Watch Leader for future Tall Ships voyages.

Whilst every effort will be made to deliver the above voyage content sometimes, due to weather and crew’s ability, the content may need to change. Please see below for our full Conditions of Booking.
