Voyage Highlights

• Take part in the official Cloudy Bay Round the Island race
• Race up to 1,400 other yachts
• Includes full training weekend
• Build sailing knowledge, make friends and have fun!

The annual Round the Island Race is one of the largest yacht races in the world, regularly attracting over 1,400 boats and around 15,000 sailors. You will follow the route starting on the famous Royal Yacht Squadron line in Cowes, racing anticlockwise round the island to The Needles, round St Catherine’s Point and Bembridge Lodge buoy, and back into the Solent to finish in Cowes.
A week prior to the race, you will complete a full training weekend where you will familiarise yourself with the yacht and learn about race tactics such as using the tide, sail trimming and race helming. During this time you will also develop your team working skills and build your confidence and knowledge to safely complete the race.

You will join the yacht at 7pm on Friday 6 July to spend the night at Gunwharf Quays before heading to Cowes for the race on Saturday 7 July.

Whilst every effort will be made to deliver the above voyage content sometimes, due to weather and crew’s ability, the content may need to change. Please see below for our full Conditions of Booking.
