Join the Tall Ships Youth Trust in following the route of the famous Round the Island Race on this 2 night voyage.
You will follow the route of the race starting on the famous Royal Yacht Squadron line in Cowes, racing anticlockwise round the Isle of Wight to The Needles, round St Catherine’s Point and Bembridge Lodge buoy, and back into the Solent to finish in Cowes.
Day 1 includes a training day where you will learn about race tactics such as using the tide, sail trimming and race helming. You will then spend the night in Cowes preparing for race day.
The 2nd day you will spend racing up to 3 other identical Challenger Yachts round the Isle of Wight before returning to Cowes for the night where there will be a prize giving ceremony and celebratory fish and chips dinner.
The final day will be spent crossing the Solent back to Portsmouth.
